The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) holds her 56th National Board Meeting in Ilorin, Kwara State from July 24-28, 2023.
The meeting, which is expected to be declared open by the Kwara State Governor, His Excellency, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, will start with a Divine Service scheduled to hold at the Cathedral of St. Barnabas Anglican Cathedral, Muritala Way, Ilorin on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
The President and Board Chairman of The Society, Bishop Dr. Timothy Banwo, will preside over the meeting which is being hosted by the West North Zone of the BSN. Among other things, the past and future activities of the organisation concerning its Bible work mandates will be discussed at the meeting. The accounts of the organisation for the past one year would be examined as well. The General Secretary of the BSN, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, is expected to present his report for the year under review to the Board at the meeting.
Expected at the Board Meeting are the Patron of the BSN, Gen. Dr. Yakubu Gowon, GCFR, national officers, delegates from across the country and some senior members of the management team of the organisation.
The Bible Society of Nigeria is a not-for-profit interdenominational Christian organisation that translates the Bible into Nigerian languages, publishes, and distributes the Scriptures, as well as raises funds for the Bible work and execution of programmes that help people to engage with the Word of God to transform their lives.
