Bible Society organizes Marathon Bible Reading
All is now set for this year’s edition of Marathon Bible Reading organised by The Bible Society of Nigeria [BSN].
The programme, which will be declared open on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Saviour African Cathedral, Agege, Lagos by the General Secretary/CEO of the organisation, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, is scheduled to take place in Lagos and 12 other states across the country from Monday 6th – Friday 10th September 2021.
The unique feature of this programme is that it gives the participants the opportunity to read the Bible uninterrupted between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm daily in their own native languages at the different centres created for the programme.
Participants, irrespective of denomination, age or sex, will have a three-fold joy by participating. They will have the joy of reading the Bible in their languages, help someone else hear the Word of God in a new way and join others in the continuous reading of the Bible. Admission into the programme is free.
The Bible Society of Nigeria is a not-for-profit interdenominational Christian organization that translates the Bible into Nigerian Languages, publishes and distributes it and also raises funds for the Bible work. So far, we have the full Bible in 26 Nigerian Languages, while translation/revision is ongoing in 10 languages.
