I am glad to share that 2023 was an amazing year for me. - a remarkable year of growth and impact.

This would not have been possible without the Bible Society of Nigeria. I truly appreciate your sacrifices for investing in the growth of young people and I am fortunate to be one of them.

Participating in the 2023 NYSC Annual Essay Writing Competition has ignited the changemaker in me. It has also helped me to exhibit excellence, creativity, and innovation as an emerging leader.

Thank you for investing in young people. Even when society sees us as lazy people, you see us as great assets to nation-building. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to lend my voice to the development of our dear country, Nigeria.

Thank you for the gifts you showered on us during the competition, especially the Bible and the books. I am happy to share that they are adding value to my life day by day.

Partaking in the Marathon Bible reading with fellow believers has enriched my spiritual life. At the onset, I experienced discomfort in my left knee, but by the third day, I began to experience relief, and the pain gradually subsided. However, on the fourth day, I faced an unexpected challenge as I felt unwell and was unable to endure until the conclusion of the session. Through divine intervention, I found strength and was able to attend the next session. I give all glory to God

Divine Intervention through Marathon Bible Reading

I bless the name of the Lord for His faithfulness to my family. We bought a piece of land from a man who later said he was not selling it again. He ordered us not to go near the land again but did not refund the money. We tried all we could to get our money back, but it was abortive.
The man ought to have refunded the money in December 2021 but he did not. We took the case to court and by divine arrangement, the Marathon Bible Reading started on the day we were supposed to present the case in court – September 05, 2022.
My husband and I attended the programme but he left before me. At exactly 1.00 pm, he called to tell me that the man had refunded the money.
Glory be to God.

Healing during the Marathon Bible Reading

I thank God for healing me during the 2022 Marathon Bible Reading. I had this severe pain in my leg which made me uncomfortable. My encounter with the word of God brought about a sudden healing in my leg and I no longer feel the pain.

Fleeing Boko Haram, Sarah's life changed drastically. The Bible Society's gift of a Bible became a lifeline, offering hope and strength. Stories within it, like David and Goliath, inspired her resilience. Philippians 4:13 became a mantra, helping her face challenges. Grateful for the Bible Society's support, she reflects on the positive change it brought to her darkest times.

Forced to leave Borno State due to religious conflicts, Pastor Taghala's life took a downturn. The Bible Society's gift of Bibles in their language transformed not just his life but also influenced his children's faith. Stories of sacrifice and verses like Philippians 4:19 deepened his understanding of God's love, inspiring positive changes within his family.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of IDPs in Kaduna, Sule acknowledges the Bible Society's donations of Bibles, school supplies, and relief items. The impact is not only spiritual but also practical, providing hope and education despite challenging circumstances. Commending the Bible Society's commitment to serving humanity, he sees it as a beacon of hope.

The Trauma Healing Project addresses the spiritual and psychological needs of those affected by violence, war, and disasters. Testimonies include Pamela Orogbo finding solace and relief, Oluchi Nosa learning ways to help others, and a forgiveness session helping a woman overcome suicidal thoughts. Another participant found renewed hope in God, tearing up a suicide note. Forgiveness exercises also helped someone release negative emotions and find peace.
