Scaling New Heights: BSN Sets Bold Targets for 2025 Bible Distribution and Fundraising

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3

Trauma Healing Radio Programme

To expand the reach of the Trauma Healing Initiative beyond physical workshops, The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is also engaged in a Trauma Healing Radio Programme, currently airing on four major radio stations:
  1. Metro 97.7 FM, Lagos — Saturdays at 9:00 AM
  2. Bond 92.9 FM, Lagos — Saturdays at 6:00 PM
  3. Splash 105.5 FM, Ibadan — Saturdays at 3:30 PM
  4. Ashiwaves 99.9 FM, Katsina Ala — Saturdays at 10:00 AM

These stations were strategically selected to connect with diverse audiences across urban, semi-urban, and rural communities, ensuring that the message of healing reaches people in the comfort of their homes. The programme airs weekly and is delivered in an engaging, compassionate, and biblically grounded format.

Current Topics Being Treated:

  • Heart Wounds and Grieving
This segment helps listeners identify the invisible wounds caused by experiences such as violence, betrayal, loss, and abandonment. It explores how unhealed heart wounds affect behaviour and relationships, and how the Bible offers comfort and restoration.

It also focuses on the process of healthy grieving. Listeners are guided to understand loss, express sorrow, and embrace the biblical model of lament. The segment emphasises that grief is not a sign of weakness or lack of faith but a necessary pathway to healing.

  • If God Loves Us, Why Do We Suffer?
Each episode blends Scripture, real-life testimonies, healing exercises, and reflective questions, making it both therapeutic and spiritually enriching.

    Impact and Listener Feedback

Feedback from listeners has been overwhelmingly positive. Many call or send messages expressing how the teachings have helped them find peace, release long-held pain, and forgive those who hurt them. For some, this was their first time realising that the Bible speaks directly to their emotional wounds.

The anonymity and accessibility of radio have proven to be a strength, as listeners can tune in privately, reflect deeply, and take steps toward healing at their own pace.

    Conclusion

The Trauma Healing Initiative is yet another expression of BSN’s commitment to making the Bible not only available but also applicable. In a world where emotional pain is often ignored, BSN stands in the gap — bringing comfort, counsel, and Christ to those in need.

Through radio, the message of healing is now just a dial away. BSN remains committed to bringing healing through God’s Word to the brokenhearted across Nigeria.
