“The future of our nation Nigeria and indeed Africa is hinged upon our affirmation and irrevocable commitment to the Word of God as the only reliable foundation for maximizing our personal and national well-being.”

“We need to be voices for the Bible in all the sectors of life – media, arts, culture, entertainment, politics, government, education because the Bible speaks into all of it.”

Mrs. Jane M. Jelgerhuis

“We (Christians) know something about depravity, about the world we are in, we know about the depth of the human heart, we know something about reconciliation, justice, marginalized, downtrodden.”

“Our vocation, both as individuals and as part of worshipping communities, spread across time and millennia and continents, is to be missionaries, to trust God with whom we are and who we become so that the world may know God.”

BIBLE TRUST FUND

CAN calls for the establishment of a Bible Trust Fund

The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Dr. Samson Ayokunle is of the opinion that the time has come for the establishment of a Bible Trust Fund for the effective funding of the work of Bible publication, distribution and translation in Nigeria. Reeling out what seems like the modus operandi of the Fund, Dr. Ayokunle stated that an online account operated by a highly proficient IT personnel should be dedicated to it so that Christians can deposit funds on continuous basis and a mobile Public Relations Officer appointed to sensitize church leaders on the operation of the Fund.
