King’s College wins BSN’s You Can Be Their Eyes Bible Quiz

King’s College, Obalende, Lagos, has won the 5th edition of the You Can Be Their Eyes Bible Competition for the visually impaired orgainsed by The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) in Lagos.

Represented by Oluwatobitoba Bamgbelu and Gbolahun Azeez, King’s College scored 55 points to defeat seven other schools to emerge as the winner of the competition.

Pacelli School for the Blind, Surulere, Lagos, scored 45 points while Federal Government College (Junior), Ijanikin, Lagos, scored 40 points to emerge second and third respectively.

Bethesda Home for the Blind, Surulere, came fourth, while Lagos State Senior Secondary School, Agbowa, and Federal Nigeria Society for the Blind were tied in fifth place.

Federal Government College (Senior), Ijanikin, and Lagos State Senior Secondary School, Agbowa, came seventh and eighth respectively.

While speaking at the event, the General Secretary/CEO of BSN, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, said The Society was supporting the government’s efforts to ensure that people with disabilities actualize their potential.

“The private sector and the government must come together to alleviate their sufferings. It was not their fault that they have disabilities,” he noted.

Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion, Pastor Arowosegbe Adegoke, represented by Mr. Opeoluwa Akinola, said the competition is a demonstration of God’s love for the blind through the BSN.
