Patrick Ohakawa is the Human Resource Manager of the Bible Society of Nigeria, a position he attained through dedication, hard work, and progressive career growth within the organization.

He joined the Bible Society of Nigeria in 2001 as an Office Assistant/Cleaner and has since risen through the ranks, serving in various capacities including Administrative Assistant, Administrative Supervisor, Procurement/Library Supervisor, Administrative Officer, Manager Operations, and Manager Administration before his appointment as Human Resource Manager. His career progression reflects his commitment to excellence, leadership, and organizational development.

Prior to joining the Bible Society of Nigeria, Patrick gained valuable experience working with U-Best Industry and Unico Nigeria among others, where he handled a variety of responsibilities spanning food processing, sales, procurement, administration, and accounting functions. These experiences provided him with a broad understanding of business operations and organizational management.

Patrick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Lagos State University and currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) to further enhance his managerial and leadership competencies. He is also a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) [NIM], reflecting his commitment to continuous professional development and best practices in human resource management.

With over two decades of work experience, Patrick has built a reputation for integrity, diligence, and effective people management. He remains passionate about fostering a productive work environment, developing human capital, and contributing to the achievement of organizational goals.
