Federal Government College Ijanikin Wins Bible Quiz for Blind

Federal Government College (Junior) Ijanikin, Lagos, has won the 6th edition of the “You Can Be Their Eyes” Bible Quiz for the Blind community organized by The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN).
The school, represented by Gideon Oghorodi and Ebenezer Ajayi, scored 70 points to emerge as the winner of the competition.
Speaking after the programme Gideon Oghorodi expressed joy, emphasizing that physical challenges could not stop or define his ability to succeed.
King’s College Junior and Senior, Obalende, Lagos, clinched the second and third positions, securing 55 and 40 points, respectively.
Speaking at the occasion, the General Secretary/CEO of BSN, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, said that BSN caters for the Bible needs of every segment of society regardless of their physical or social status. He added that the organisation organized the Bible quiz to encourage them to engage with the word of God. Pastor Sanusi called on the government and other organisations to support the physically challenged.
Other schools that took part in the competition included Lagos State Model College (Senior and Junior), Agbowa, Ikorodu; Vocational School for the Blind, Oshodi; Federal Government College (Senior), Ijanikin, and Pacceli School for the Blind, Surulere.
