The Bible Society of Nigeria

Dr. Nwogbo warns on consequences of Bible Scarcity

Worried about the difficulty of The Bible Society of Nigeria in mobilizing funds for Bible work in Nigeria, the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of Alfa Centauri West Africa Limited, Dr. Emmanuel Nwogbo, has warned that Christianity might lose its foothold in Nigeria if Christians allow Bible work to continue to suffer.

Dr. Nwogbo, who doubles the Chairman and an Awardee at the forthcoming 15th Annual Luncheon and Awards of the Special Members Forum of The Bible Society of Nigeria, gave the warning when the General Secretary/CEO, Pastor Samuel Sanusi and his team paid him a courtesy visit. The businessman warned that Christians in Nigeria should not be complacent and allow what happened in Turkey and Syria, which were formerly Christian dominated, to happen in Nigeria.

Speaking further, Dr. Nwogbo said that the Bible is the basis and foundation of the Christian faith, adding that there is no Christianity without the Bible, which he described as a guide for holy living. He expressed surprise that the BSN is struggling to raise funds for the Bible work.
