Born to Late Chief S.G.R.O and Mrs Victoria Ogwu, in Kabala Dokey, Kaduna State, on June 27, Lucky Ogwu hails from Ndokwa West, Delta State.

He is an experienced Fundraiser, Marketer, Relationship Manager, and a fine Communicator with over 17 years’ work experience. He is currently the Church & Public Relations Manager of The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN).

Before joining BSN, he worked with Beyond Jordan Limited, an affiliate to Starcomms on its voice CUG service, and rose from being a Corporate Marketing Executive to the Head, Business & Operations. He managed major accounts on the company such as First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Amni Petroleum International, Rain Oil Limited, the then FinBank Plc before its merger in 2012 among other choice accounts and partners.

Lucky also had a stint with the media having freelanced for ThisDay Newspaper as a reporter for a brief period and was to later work with EOM Communications as a Media Marketing Executive. He is passionate about communications and made a major impact in the Advertising Department of New Nigerian Newspaper during his NYSC when he proofread their adverts, initiated advert projects that yielded good income, and wrote great copies that earned him commendations from the Management and an employment offer to be retained.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Second Class Upper Division) in Mass Communication from Delta State University; an MSc in Mass Communication from University of Lagos and currently runs an MBA programme with University of Lagos. He is an associate member of professional bodies such Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), National Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), and National Institute of Marketing, Nigeria (NIMN). Lucky has attended trainings in some African countries like South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, and back home, with Leadership Academy Consults, JOCAROL and others.  He enjoys singing (gospel songs) and has composed a good number of tracks he has yet to take to the studio.
