BSN, Critical to Work of Salvation, says Prophet Oladeji

The General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, has said that The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is very critical to work of salvation.

Prophet Oladeji said this while praying for the staff of the organisation at the organisation’s first working day devotion. “The Bible you are translating and making available is transforming lives. You cannot imagine the number of people who read the Bible and got saved,” he said.
To corroborate his claim on the efficacy of the Bible, Prophet Oladeji narrated how God told him during one of his prayer programmes at the camp that there were three armed robbers within the camp, but he said it was not possible. According to him, God insisted, and he was forced to announce what he heard from God and three men to his amazement, signified they were the armed robbers but hid their guns within the camp premises. He asked them if they were willing to surrender to Jesus Christ and they answered in affirmative. Thereafter, they were each given a copy of the Bible. He gladly announced that one of those former armed robbers is now a Pastor, preaching the gospel.

Prophet Oladeji charged the organisation not relent in the work of making the Bible available to Nigerians, adding that such task is transforming the lives of people. Speaking from Philippians 2:12-15, the Evangelist charged the staff to shun complaining or murmuring but remain faithful and focused in making the word of God available, adding that they should not allow the devil to stop them.

He also warned the staff not to translate the Bible for others to be saved, while they, the translators and distributors of the Bible, miss heaven. He said that it would be unwise to be like a signboard which points others to salvation but does not get there. He also warned them to desist from all appearances of evil or being involved in what is inconsistent with their work as Bible translators and distributors.

Prophet Oladeji took out time to pray for the staff, their families and the work of The Bible Society of Nigeria. He particularly prayed that God would raise men and women that will help the organisation to complete its Bible House project. It is customary for the BSN to start the first working day of each new year with prayers and the organisation was privileged to have Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji grace this year’s edition.
