BIBLE SOCIETY HOLDS MAIDEN BIBLE COMPETITION FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS
As part of activities to help people engage with the Word of God, The Bible Society of Nigeria held its maiden preliminary Bible competition for primary schools on May 19, 2022, and six schools emerged for the grand finale which will be held on June 24, 2022.
The finalists are Toddlers Private School, Surulere; God’s Glory Abides Nursery & Primary School, Mile 12; Tane Crescent Private School, Surulere; CAMNPS Nursery & Primary School, Mile 12; Splendid Steps School, Lekki and Salem Baptist School, Mile 12, all in Lagos.
Toddlers Private School, Surulere, which had 110 points topped the first batch of qualifiers, while God’s Glory Abides Nursery & Primary School, Mile 12, Lagos with 80 points was first runner-up, and Tane Crescent Private School, Surulere, Lagos emerged as second runner-up, having won 70 points tie with Crown Gate School, Somolu, Lagos and qualified for the grand finale.
CAMNPS Nursery & Primary School, Mile 12, with 110 points, led other qualifiers in the second batch, while Splendid Steps School, Lekki and Salem Baptist School, Mile 12, were first and second runners-up respectively.
The General Secretary of the BSN, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, congratulated the participants for being part of the maiden edition of the Primary School Bible Competition, saying, all of them were winners.

Meanwhile, the Quiz Master, Mr. Temitope Omogbemi explained that the competition is aimed at inculcating godly values in pupils, reviving the culture of reading and studying the Bible among young ones, providing a unique platform for pupils to interact with the Word of God and fostering the spirit of healthy competition among primary school pupils
The Production and Distribution Manager of the BSN, Mrs. Grace Benjamin, encouraged the finalists to study harder for the final lap of the competition and imbibe the lessons learnt from My Best 100 Bible Stories, which is the text for the competition.
