A Vision of Hope: Partnering to Deliver Braille Bibles Nationwide
The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) has remained steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that God’s Word reaches every corner of Nigeria, including underserved communities and individuals with special needs. Among these efforts is the distribution of Braille Bibles to visually impaired persons, enabling them to engage with Scripture in a format they can read and understand. Through the distribution of Braille Bibles, we fulfill the call in Romans 10:17 which reminds us, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Empowering the Visually Impaired
Visually impaired individuals in Nigeria often face limited opportunities for spiritual engagement. BSN has bridged this gap by distributing Braille Bibles to schools, students, organisations, and individuals who are literate in Braille. This initiative echoes the promise of Isaiah 42:16: “I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.”
Scope of Distribution/Beneficiaries
Through the generous donations of spirited individuals, partners, and corporate organisations, BSN has distributed Braille Bibles to some persons across Nigeria who are Braille literate, ensuring they have access to the life-transforming Word of God.

The production and distribution of Braille Bibles are costly due to the specialised equipment and materials required. However, thanks to the generosity of our partners, BSN continues to meet these needs.
