The outreach benefited members of The Gospel Faith Mission International, Methodist Church Nigeria, and The Praying Band of C&S Church, Ogo-Oluwa. Speaking during the event, BSN’s Programmes Manager, Mrs. Grace Benjamin, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to caring for both the spiritual and physical needs of vulnerable people.
She explained that the Macedonia Call Initiative was established to support the poor, the vulnerable, and the needy, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or social background. While the programme has traditionally focused on schools and underserved communities, this outreach marked an important milestone as it intentionally extended support to churches after recognising that many struggling families also worship faithfully despite their hardships.
The outreach was made possible through the generous support of the Canadian and Australian Bible Societies, whose partnership continues to bring hope to communities across Nigeria.
Beyond the distribution of relief materials, the day served as a powerful reminder that compassion is most meaningful when it meets people at their point of need. Sometimes, restoring hope begins with something as simple as a Bible, a meal, or a school bag. These small gifts carry a much greater message: You are seen. You are valued. You are loved.
As the beneficiaries returned home with smiles on their faces and hope in their hearts, the impact of the outreach became clear. Through every Bible shared, every child encouraged, and every family supported, lives were touched, dignity was restored, and the love of Christ was made visible.
Truly, when faith meets compassion, hope is reborn.
