Scaling New Heights: BSN Sets Bold Targets for 2025 Bible Distribution and Fundraising

In a bold and visionary move aimed at deepening Bible engagement across Nigeria,
The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) has resolved to upscale its Bible distribution and fundraising targets for all Areas nationwide. This strategic decision was taken at the just-concluded National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Board meeting, held in alignment with BSN’s 2025 operational goal of distributing 2,000,000 copies of the Bible.
As a reflection of the collective commitment demonstrated by NEC/Board members and Area Chairmen, the meeting witnessed the unanimous passage of a resolution to review and raise the Area targets for Bible distribution and fundraising in support of the 2025 strategic plan.
New Area Targets Set for 2025
Effective from January 2025, the new targets are as follows:
This marks a significant increase from the previous targets of 7,500 copies and ₦1,000,000 for Full-Fledged Areas, marking a renewed drive to meet the growing demand for the Word of God across Nigerian communities.
The revised targets not only reflect the Society’s expanding vision but also underscore its confidence in its grassroots structures and the unwavering commitment of its leaders, members, and volunteers.
Driving the Vision: Shared Responsibility and Renewed Zeal
Speaking at the meeting, the General Secretary/CEO, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, applauded the resolution and charged all stakeholders to embrace the targets as a shared responsibility in fulfilling the Society’s divine mandate. He emphasised that “leadership is responsibility,” and every Area must rise to the occasion to ensure the Word of God reaches the ends of the nation.
He described the resolution as a call to shared responsibility, urging all stakeholders to translate their commitment into measurable action.
Progressive Vision for a Transformed Nation
This resolution aligns with BSN’s mission of making the Bible available, affordable, and accessible to everyone in a language they understand and in the format they prefer. With digital channels gaining ground and physical engagement remaining critical, this dual-pronged approach ensures that no one is left behind.
Call to Action
All Areas were encouraged to strategise, engage partners, and mobilise support to achieve the new targets. Together, we can advance God’s Word to every corner of our nation.
