BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

Acts 2:17 — “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people…”

Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in the Balkans of Southeast Europe, is home to about 3.2–3.5 million people. The nation carries deep historical and cultural diversity shaped by its three main ethnic groups — Bosniaks, Croats, and Serbs — each closely tied to distinct religious identities. The dominant faith expressions include Islam (Bosniak population), Eastern Orthodoxy (Serbs), and Roman Catholicism (Croats). Decades after a devastating ethnic-religious war in the 1990s, the nation continues to bear emotional, social, and economic scars. Yet within this complexity lies a profound opportunity for the healing power of the Gospel to bring unity, restoration, and hope.

Prayer Focus:

• Pray for deep reconciliation among communities still carrying the trauma and bitterness of past conflict, that the peace of Christ would heal memories, restore relationships, and rebuild trust across ethnic and religious divides.
• Ask God to unite leaders and citizens in efforts to rebuild a fractured economy, creating opportunities for dignity, stability, and shared progress.
• Pray that Christ’s love would penetrate hardened hearts, especially among those who feel spiritually distant or unresponsive, drawing many into a transforming relationship with Him. May the Holy Spirit be poured out across Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing renewal, unity, and a powerful testimony of God’s redeeming grace.
