Obasanjo to Chair ABLI Conference

The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) alongside The British and Foreign Bible Society is set to host current and emerging leaders in Africa at the 11th edition of the African Biblical Leadership Initiative (ABLI) Conference to be chaired by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The General Secretary/CEO of BSN, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, disclosed this at a media briefing organised to announce the conference. According to him, the conference themed ‘Value-Based Leadership: Model for Africa,’ will be held at the National Airforce Conference Centre, Abuja from October 21 – 24, 2024.

The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is a non-profit, interdenominational Christian organisation established with the mission to break all barriers that make the Bible inaccessible to people. BSN donates Bibles, relief materials to Lagos community

The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) has donated Bibles, relief materials, and back-to-school packs worth ₦7 million to residents of Makoko community in Yaba, Lagos State.

While adults from 94 households received food items and copies of the Bible, their children numbering 120 in Adekunle Anglican Primary School, Makoko, received back-to-school packs and copies of the Bible as well…

Prayers for our nation
Going through the pages of scriptures, one will discover that there is truly nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9). The world has witnessed different kinds of war, famine, economic hardship, etc. Contemporary histories are also dotted with various unpleasant experiences at one time or another. In most cases, according to the Holy Bible, these unpleasant experiences are caused by humans’ deviation from the path of God. The case of the children of Israel in the Bible says it all. Whenever human beings want to prove to be wiser than God and try to go their way, it always ends in disaster and calamities. Yet, man has failed to learn from experience, and we have kept making the same mistakes repeatedly going against the laws of God and trying to fulfil what the Bible says in Job 21:22a – “Can anyone teach knowledge to God?”…
