Bible Societies complete Scripture translations for over 1.25 billion people
In 2023, Bible Societies across the world under the global umbrella body of United Bible Societies (UBS) completed Scripture translations in 106 languages, spoken by over 1.25 billion people.
This accomplishment underscores the commitment of Bible Societies to make the Bible accessible to diverse language communities across the globe. From across the globe, they extended their reach to 72 language groups, benefiting a total of 100 million people who now have more access to the Scripture in their native languages for the first time, while they continued the revision or creating new translations, including study editions in 36 languages spoken by over 1.15 billion people.
