The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) has again emerged the leader in English Bible distribution globally. The global Bible distribution statistics published by the United Bible Societies [UBS] showed that the BSN achieved this feat, having distributed 897,116 copies of the English Bible in 2020. The Bible Society of Australia came a distant second with a distribution figure of 426,318, followed by USA with 403,210, China 157,946, Kenya 109,807, and South Africa 96,257. The organization distributed 1,087,205 copies to lead the world in the previous year and it was followed by the American Bible Society which distributed 690,102 copies. In the regional ranking, Africa was third in full Bible distribution out of the seven Areas/Regions of the UBS. Central & South America emerged first, distributing 11.1 million full Bibles, followed by Asia 6.2 million, Africa 5.9 million, Europe 5.1 million, North America 1.7 million, Oceania 0.64 million and Middle East 0.17 million. Out of the 5.9 million copies distributed by Africa, Nigeria contributed 1.5 million copies or 25.42% of the total that over 40 Bible Societies in Africa distributed.
